Description

Stunning and rare large Arts & Crafts copper mantle clock with Glasgow school motifs of Mackintosh roses and leaves to the front and sides. The case was made by J & F Pool of Hayle in Cornwall who featured many Talwin Morris designs in their work. With the words Old time is still aflying to the top and the reading
"All through this hour Lord be my guide and by they power no foot shall slide"
I believe this to be a one off or specially commissioned clock.
This is fitted with a German Lenzkirch Westminster chime movement and keeps excellent time but can be temperamental if not exactly sitting straight.
This has been in my possession for a number of years but I am at an age when watching the hours rush by does not have the same appeal.
Height 54cms. Width 37cms. Depth 20cms.
