Description

Stunning Arts & Crafts copper fire screen with a peacock his displaying his wonderful feathers. There is a Ruskin cabochon each side of his legs. The copper panel is mounted on a wrought iron frame with copper studs. There is a pierced handhold at the top.
A very similar screen was made by the Newton school near Cambridge but this version is heavier with a different frame so only ninety per cent sure. Offered in an excellent and un cleaned condition.
Height 52cms. Width 51cms. Depth at feet 17cms.
