Description

Arts & Crafts Lisvane desk or dressing table made by the Brynmawr Furniture Makers. Although illustrated in the book on Brynmawr furniture it is more of the unusual models. Made of oak and oak ply. The label only partially remains but this would have been designed by Paul Matt.
The Brynmawr factory was founded by Quakers to give work to unemployed miners and only lasted for a short period between 1929 - 1940. During this short time they produced some beautiful furniture.
Height 81cms. Writing height 77cms, width 107cms. Depth 50cms.
Knee height under table 57cms
Minor chip to back of one side and some replaced ply to inner drawer bottoms.
