Coin Holder for Coins of India
Made in England stamped to the side.
Platforms for One Rupee, One Pice, Half Rupee, 1/4 Rupee. Two Annas.
These are pre decimal coinage dating from before 1957 when decimal coinage was introduced. This coin holder is probably pre 1950s
The springs under the platforms are all working.
Suspension ring to hang from an Albert or belt etc.
As you can see from the photos, it has been used a lot and some of the silver plating has been worn away.
Approximate dimensions: 6.5cm x 5.5cm, thickness 1.3cm, weight 48.8 grams.
Interesting item for those interested in the coinage of India.
