Description
An American ‘Boston’ (from where the style first originated) rocking chair, c1860 with original paint finish including a Chinoiserie style image of a street scene on the surface of the top comb rail. The chair features a scroll shaped seat typical of its type and setting it apart from other styles of Windsor chair.The Real Wood Furniture(Chris Baylis) has large showrooms in the Cotswolds, specialising in English Windsor chairs, but also stocking an eclectic mix of decorative and fine furniture, objects, garden pieces etc.
