Description

This is a most decorative, rare Chinoiserie toilet mirror which dates from around 1780. The circular swing mirror is suspended above a neat two drawer base and has wonderfully detailed handpainted and lacquered scenes in a beautiful soft blue green shade. The top surface of the base has a beautiful antique, aged appearance. This unusual piece is probably Italian in origin and has great charm. This is in good sound condition and stands 60 cms high, 52 cms wide and is 15 cms deep. The mirror plate is in good clean order with only a few tiny age related spots and the reverse has the attractively distressed remnants of the original deep pink silk lining. UK delivery is £25
