Description

This is a handsome early 19th century bird's eye maple and ebonised bracket clock of fine quality. The single fusee 8 day chain driven movement is by K. Hall of Dover. The clock case has an architectural tapered cornice above carved decoration and a painted roman dial. It has pierced brass fretwork to the sides and rests upon bun feet. The clock is a substantial piece measuring 49cms high and is in excellent condition, with its original winding key.
The movement has been recently restored by our horologist and has a full years running guarantee. When carrying out the work he noted the following interesting information inside the case and on the movement which helps a great deal with understanding the history of the clock.
