Description

This is a beautiful and fine quality room size Mahal carpet from West Iran which dates from the early part of the 20th century. The carpet has a central oval floral medallion surrounded by foliate scrolls in a rich claret field. The other colours in the carpet are indigo blue and a rich gold. The carpet is very plush and velvet like underfoot and is in excellent condition throughout. It is a great room size measuring 400 cms by 297 cms.
