Description

This is a beautiful Bakhtiari prayer carpet from West Persia which dates from the early 20th century. The handwoven pure wool carpet has a really attractive colour palette in deep hues and a bold and interesting design, with the central mihrab having a floral urn all surrounded by flowers and birds. The carpet is a good size for a prayer rug measuring 206 cms by 165 cms and is in good condition throughout.
