Description

This is a beautiful Bakhtiari carpet from West Persia which dates from the late 19th century. The handwoven pure wool carpet has an unusual diamond lattice design and a very nice colour palette. The carpet has overall light wear to the pile and also has some slight wear to both ends but otherwise is still in good order for its age and has a lot of charm. It has been previously retailed at some point in its life by the specialist rug dealer Tepichhaus Dayss in Stuttgart. It is a useful size, measuring 199 cms by 146 cms.
