Description

This is a very attractive Victorian overmantle mirror with its original water gilded finish which has a delightful warm glow. The finely carved crest has beautiful detail and the gilding has an attractive rubbed back look. The mirror dates from around 1860 and has its original plate glass which is in very good clean order. The mirror frame itself is in good sound original condition.

The mirror is a good size measuring 78 cms wide at the base and 142 cms high overall. These are the maximum extremities of the piece.
