Description

This is a stunning antique rug from East Azerbaijan in North West Iran which dates from around 1900. This finely woven quality carpet has an amazing tree of life design in a beautiful vibrant colour palette which includes rich reds, ice blues and soft greens. The design has stylised trees, flowers and birds, all set within a deep rose patterned border. The rug is a good useful size and measures 192 cm by 146 cm. It is in excellent condition throughout.
