Description

This is a beautiful late 19th / early 20th century antique soft wool Mahal carpet with a very intricate and appealing design. The warm ivory field of flowering vines around a cusped medallion is enclosed by boteh spandrels and rich red borders of stylised flowerheads, all flanked by indigo guard stripes. This quality carpet is in excellent condition
throughout.
The rug is a really substantial room size measuring 308 cm by 214 cm.
