Description

This is a superb late 19th / early 20th century antique soft wool Heriz carpet with an intricate design and very appealing colours. The warm madder red field of angular vines is centred by a typical indigo medallion and framed by yellow ochre spandrels and indigo borders of serrated leaves and polychrome flowerheads, all flanked by pretty ice blue guard stripes. This quality carpet is in excellent condition
throughout.
The rug is a really substantial room size measuring 404 cm by 310 cm.
