Description

This is a very elegant Regency period overmantel mirror of good scale with its original gilt finish dating from the early 19th century. The mirror, by J.Lawson, is Theban in style, with reeded columns on neat pairs of feet and a central hypacanthus in black to the blind fret frieze. It has a beaded cornice and all three plates are in very good order with only very minor spotting.
The overmantel mirror has good proportions measuring 53" by 25".
