Rare Copeland Parian Statue Eros & Anteros

Description
This is a wonderful 19th Century parian ware sculpture of Eros and Anteros, the sons of Aphrodite and Ares, fighting over a heart. The statue is in excellent condition and is a very rare piece by the Copeland factory in Stoke on Trent, founded by Josiah Spode. This statue is after the original composition by Francois-Joseph LeClercq (1755-1826). The sculpture is in excellent condition overall with a manufacturing firing crack visible to the underside of the base. The piece measures 38 cms high, 29 cms wide, and 25 cms deep. UK delivery is £20.No damage or restoration.
