Description

This is an elegant Regency period overmantel mirror of good scale in very nice original order. The mirror has its three original lead glass plates in good condition with only a few minor marks. These are mounted in reeded ebonised slips. The frame has substantial classical columns with good detail and the gesso has its original gilding with a really nice subdued colour. The mirror has lovely proportions.
This is in nice original order for its age ( circa 1820 ) and is a good size measuring 142 cm wide at the pediment, 133cm wide at the base by 67 cm high.
