This is a good 19th century oil painting on canvas depicting sheep in the highlands with cattle in the distance.The painting is very well executed in the manner of Robert Watson (1865-1916) famous for painting sheep in this type of setting. The painting is in excellent condition and has nice form and perspective with good detail and strength of colour.
The picture measures 53 cms by 40 cms overall including the frame.
