Description

This is a very attractive Kashgai rug of unusual design, dating from the late 19th, early 20th century. The rug, from south-west Persia has a deep blood red field with three geometric medallions. It has both stylised animals and plants within its design and has a beautiful colour palette of rich red, deep indigo and cinnamon brown. The carpet is in really great condition with good pile and strong colours and measures 300 cm by 214 cm.
