Description

This is an elegant Regency period pier glass mirror with parcel gilt detail in good condition dating from around 1820.
The mirror plate is the original glass in nice clean useable condition.
The fret cut mahogany frame has a good deep colour and nice patina. It is in nice condition overall with a couple of small historic repairs as is usual with these delicate mirrors but these are well done and blend in to be not that noticeable without close scrutiny.
This has an attractive inner gilt and gesso border that contrasts nicely and the stylish central Ho Ho bird in the crest is a great feature.
The mirror is a good size measuring 98 cms high by wide 50 cms overall.
