Description

This is an attractive early 19th century mahogany chest of drawers with very neat proportions dating from around 1830. The chest is in lovely original condition with a good colour and patina. This has its original turned ebony handles inset with mother of pearl buttons and has a beautiful and decorative flame mahogany veneer to the drawer fronts. These have a bow front shape and ebony line inlaid cock beading. The drawers are all in good shape running freely in the cabinet which is raised on attractive out swept feet.

The chest is a very practical size, most unusual in its small proportions measuring 80 cms high by 66 cms wide by 48 cms deep.
