Description

This is an impressive hand carved and gilded Italian wall mirror with a fabulous look in super original condition dating from around 1870.
The large mirror has a wonderful scrolling acanthus leaf design with stylish projecting leaf scrolls to the crest, sides and base detail.
The gilding is the original water gilded finish which has a superb rich golden colour and antique patina.
The mirror plate is the original bevelled glass which is in very good, clean useable condition with only some ageing and spotting as can be seen in the photographs.
A very bold and imposing piece of good scale at 122 cms high 105 cms wide and 10 cms deep.
