Description
This is a good quality gilt metal mounted, variegated green marble lamp base in the Louis XVI style dating from around 1890. The heavy lamp is of baluster form with leaf scroll handles with a circular socle and stepped serpentine base and cast peg feet. The lamp has been converted to electricity and recently rewired with traditional braided cable in keeping with the style of the piece.This is a substantial size measuring 40cm high overall here without a shade so with the shade of your choice this will be quite an imposing and decorative piece.
