Description

This is a most decorative 19th century Italian marginal mirror with a good arched shape and very attractive hand carved detail.

The large mirror has a lovely antique gilded and silvered finish which is most unusual and very appealing. The shell crest has flower and leaf carved detail as do the swept scroll feet. This has a lovely marginal design with separate framed mirror sections surrounding the central plate. This has the original glass which is in excellent clean condition. The hand carved frame is in its original gilded finish.

This is a very imposing mirror of good scale measuring 140 cms high by 83 cms wide overall.
