Description

This is a most impressive antique French gilt mirror In lovely condition dating from around 1870. The mirror has a grand crest with swept acanthus detail in the classic rococo taste and organic leaf and flower design to the ornate frame. This has its original mercury plate from around 1870 which is in very good useable condition for its age with some age spotting to the glass here and there as can be seen in the photographs.

This is in good condition with its original gilded finish.

The mirror is a grand size for a floor standing or Overmantel and is most imposing in any situation measuring 164 high by 90 wide.
