Description

This is a beautiful hand woven Yalameh carpet dating from around 1920. The soft woollen carpet has a typical Yalameh repeating diamond latched lozenge design in pleasing shades of warm red, indigo, green and ivory. A particularly nice feature of this carpet is the polychrome Lesghi star borders which contain each lozenge and the carpet itself.

This is a really good example in clean ready to use condition. It has an even pile throughout and it measures 304 cms by 204 cms.
