Description

This is a truly beautiful handwoven carpet by the Tetex Munich carpet manufacturing company. The carpet is in very soft wool and is in the Heriz style. Tetex were renowned for the quality and design of their carpets which were made in the early part of the 20th Century, very much in the between war years. It is a tufted hand woven carpet and yet has an incredibly soft handle and luxurious feel.
This carpet has all of the style and good looks of an antique Heriz, with its beautifully subdued colour palette, but with the softness that is a true mark of a Tetex carpet.
Stunning to look at down on the floor, the carpet has a graceful Country House look with some areas of wear and low pile as shown in the last two photographs.
An excellent room size this measures 330 cms by 246 cms. It would bring real warmth and character to a room.
