Description

This is an impressive Regency period giltwood eagle mirror of grand scale, much larger than most of this type being in 120 cms height overall. The elegant mirror is in excellent original order with an good antique colour and patina to the original gilding. It has a nice clean convex glass set into a reeded circular ebonised mount and a deep cushion frame with gilded ball detail. The large crest has a hand carved eagle perched on a rocky outcrop with scroll surround with scallop and grape vine design to the base.
The piece measures 120 cms high by 74 cms wide by deep overall.
