Good Pair of 19th Century Majolica Lions

Description
This is a very handsome pair of 19th century majolica lions in super condition dating from around 1870.The pair are very naturalistically modelled, seated on a raised plinth with beautiful detail to their long manes and expressive faces. The pair are in excellent original order overall save for a minor chip, sliver that has been carefully replaced to the front edge of the right hand plinth.
These are hand painted in lovely soft muted colours and have a nice antique patina to the glaze.
A very handsome and rare decorative pair.
The lions measure 20 cms long 10 cms deep by 18 cms high.
