Description

This is a truly beautiful handwoven carpet by the Tetex Munich carpet manufacturing company. The carpet is in very soft wool and is in the Caucasian style. Tetex were renowned for the quality and design of their carpets which were made in the early part of the 20th Century, very much in the between war years. It is a tufted hand woven carpet and yet has an incredibly soft handle and luxurious feel.
The carpet has a beautiful and colourful design with stunning stylised birds figures and animals amongst geometric motifs. This is in excellent overall condition with an even pile and looks fabulous on the floor. It is a great size measuring 220 cms by 110 cms.
