Description

This is a beautiful early 19th century Hispano Moresque charger painted in the sixteenth century style dating from around 1820.
The charger is in excellent condition for its age and is beautifully detailed with hand painted foliate leaf designs and central castle in copper lustre and cobalt blue which has a delightful iridescent glow. The piece remarkably has no damage or restoration.
The charger is a lovely decorative piece with original holes to the top for hanging cord so could be displayed on a wall or table surface.
This is a very nice original example that is a good size measuring 42 cms in diameter by 7 cms in height.
