Description

This is a beautiful antique hand knotted Balouch Balisht tribal rug cushion dating from the late 19th century. In Afghanistan Balishts are used for carrying grain and are easily transported, thrown over a camel or horse. They are also stuffed to make comfortable cushions or put on the floor as rugs. This very large cushion Balisht is in beautiful deep blues and rich reds and it has an attractive fringe. It is in excellent condition and measures 44 inches by 20 inches. It is one of three we currently have listed.
