Description

This is an attractive hand woven Kashgai carpet dating from around 1920. The woollen carpet has typical design with a large central medallion filled with geometric stylised floral motifs and narrow multiple barber pole borders. The colours are also typical with lovely muted shades of rich russett, deep indigo and warm ivory. Kashgai carpets are very easy to live with in soft natural wool and colours which are easy on the eye they can look at home in many different room settings. This is in very good order with a neat even pile.
The carpet is a useful size measuring 191 cms by 149 cms.
