Description

This is a super early Victorian Overmantel with a very pleasing design dating from around 1840.
The mirror has a projecting cornice with acanthus leaf moulding above a stylised flower moulded frame and border. This has its original gilt finish with nice colour and its original Mercury plate glass mirror plate which is in good useable order with only a small mark to the glass top right as photographed.
This is a smart piece and quite a rare design, the mirror measures 126.5 cms by 80.5 cms overall, to the extremities of the piece. It measures 116 cms wide at the base.
