This is a quality hand woven antique Heriz carpet dating from around 1900. The heavy woollen carpet has a well drawn design with fabulous central medallion in a rich red field, colourful spandrels and deep borders of angular vines and flowers.
Woven in 100% wool, Heriz carpets are very hardwearing and so make excellent floorcoverings for reception rooms and areas of high wear. The stunning design and warm colour palette add great warmth to a room.
The carpet is an excellent room size measuring 403 cms by 297 cms.
