Description

This is a good large French gilt mirror in super order dating from the late 19th century, circa 1870.
The mirror is an unusual size, hard to come by with nice narrow proportions to the frame.
It has an arched crest with scrolling leaf detail and central shell design. The base has scroll acanthus to the corners all in good original condition.
The gilding is the original gilt finish throughout with a nice antique colour and appearance.
This has its original glass plate in nice clean condition with no blemishes and the original backboards to the frame.
The mirror is a nice size, hard to find at 168 cms high by 102 cms wide overall, to the extremities of the piece, the frame itself being only 71 cms wide in the centre.
