Description

This fine quality gilt metal mantle clock is by the renowned manufacturer Vincenti and is fitted with their award winning French 8 day movement that strikes a lovely tone on a gong on the hour and half hour. The movement is stamped with the makers name and the silver medal winner disc awarded at the 1855 French Exposition. The architectural case is in splendid condition, with handsome, finely detailed corinthian columns and tasteful trellis style balustrade crest. The crisp ceramic dial is overlaid with beautifully tooled with pierced ormolu floral design and is surrounded by laurel wreath and floral swags. The movement is in fine order and keeps excellent time and the clock has its original keys for winding and adjustment.
The clock measures 32 cms in height and 25 cms in width and 14 cms in depth.
