Description

This is an attractive hand woven woollen antique Heriz carpet dating from around 1930. The carpet has a typical elaborate central lozenge design and central field and borders filled with stylised motifs. The colour palette is also typical with lots of warm shades featuring, pinks, warm red, indigo, light blue and even green and gold. Heriz carpets are incredibly warm and woolly and make a very robust floor covering. This is in excellent condition and has a good deep even pile. It measures 277 cms by 202 cms.
