Description

This is a beautiful Chinese porcelain turquoise glazed pheasant on its original carved hardwood stand. The pheasant has a 6 character Kangxi mark to the base but is not of the period. The pheasant likely dates to the early 20th century, circa 1920. The piece is in excellent order overall save for a minor glaze loss to the front corner of the base as photographed. The pheasant has a tasselled jadeite / glass roundel with a pheasant carved within the disc.
The piece measures 27 cms high 17cms wide by 11cms deep.
