Description

This is a very pretty example of an antique handwoven Sarab carpet dating from around 1920. The finely woven carpet has a great one way design with a tree in a beautiful soft green flanked by two smaller trees, the landscape playing host to birds and deer. The ground colour is a soft blush pink and the carpet also features a lovely blue to the top spandrels or 'sky'. Framed by deep indigo borders this is altogether a lovely carpet and in excellent condition. It measures 170 cms by 94 cms
