Description

This is a good hand woven woollen Sarab rug dating from around 1910. The carpet has an unusual and very pleasing colour palette, the main shades being soft camel and a bright blue, with indigo blue and madder red also featured in the design. The plain camel ground is centred by a pole medallion and framed by serrated spandrels and indigo borders of angular vines. The carpet is in good ready to use condition and would look great in a traditional or modern setting with its angular design and quirky colour palette. It measures 180 cms by 112 cms.
