Description
This is a delightful original French gilt mirror in excellent condition dating from around 1880. The mirror retains its original water gilded finish which has a lovely antique rubbed appearance. The shell crest is adorned with scrolling acanthus leaf detail and the frame is attractively engraved with pretty flower and leaf in an art nouveau design. This has its original mercury plate glass in very good order and the original backboards.The mirror is a practical size measuring 131 cms high by 75 cms wide to the extremities of the piece.
