This is a stunning antique Damascus wall mirror dating from around 1900. The mirror has the most fabulous Mother of Pearl marquetry and is really the finest example of this type of craftsmanship. The mirror has an arched rectangular form with a fine crest inlaid in a fabulous loosely scrolling design centred by a stunning mother of pearl marquetry roundel in mystic rose form. The main body of the mirror is equally adorned throughout with the finest workmanship and features delightful bobbin turned and pierced panels.
This mirror is a truly unique and outstanding piece and would grace any setting.
It measures 140 cms by 130 cms.
