Description

This is a lovely hand woven soft woollen antique Ushak Carpet dating from around 1910. The carpet has a bold and colourful design with a deep crimson field enclosing four linked medallions featuring shades of indigo and a wonderful leaf green. Ushaks are woven in a thick but soft wool giving them a beautifully soft handle. This would add real character and warmth to a room. There is a little wear to the fringes but otherwise the carpet is in great order. It measures 260 cms by 158 cms.
