Description

This handsome French mirror is a good quality example with a lovely blood red rubbed back appearance to the original gilding. The substantial frame is attractively engraved with foliage and has acanthus leaf mouldings. The surface is beautifully rubbed back in places with the red oxide glowing through. The mirror plate is the original 3/8 mercury glass in very good original order. This is a substantial piece measuring 148 cms by 90 cms overall.
