Description

This is a superb 19th century French Arched mirror of some scale with a beautiful decorative look. The substantial mirror has a fine double arched crest with floral and scrolling leaf detail and has a most attractive antique rubbed back appearance with the rich red oxide under paint glowing through. The fine glass plate is a grand size and is the original mercury plate with an attractive cut and shaped bevelled edge. The glass is in remarkable clean condition with no blemishes at all. This is a superb example dating from around 1860 and has great impact with lovely proportions measuring 203 cms high by 118 cms wide.
