Description

This is a good early 20th century Chinese champleve cloisonne lidded vase on stand with gilt bronze finial in the form of a lion and fine quality enamel work. The vase is of extremely good quality with lotus flowers stylised butterflies and floral scrolls inlaid with colourful enamels raised above a gilt tooled ground. The rim and foot of the vase and lid are in polished gilt bronze and the interior and underside is in a lovely soft blue enamel. This is raised on a hand carved wooden base and measures 18cms high overall (14 cms without stand) by 12.5 cms in diameter.
