Description

This is a beautiful and very decorative antique French mirror with a delightful gilding dating from around 1870.
The mirror is in lovely order with a beautiful original gilded frame which has an attractive ornate design. The large central crest rises above two beautiful trailing garlands that hang across the original mercury glass plate. The gesso work is all in really good order and the mirror glass is in generally very good useable order although it does have an old scratch to the centre about four inches long. It’s an old mark so part of the character of the piece. This is a fine size and makes a great impact in any situation measuring 170 cms by 110 cms overall to the extremities of the piece.
