Description
This is a charming antique Khamseh tribal carpet dating from around 1900. The soft woollen carpet has a double lozenge design with an attractive softly muted colour palette of vegetable dyes. The indigo lozenges are set within a warm red field and the carpet has pretty narrow multiple borders featuring a light indigo and a soft gold shade.The hand woven carpet has a wonderfully soft handle and is in good order with complete fringes.
The carpet measures 197 cms by 153 cms.
