Description

This is a particularly fine 19th century Isfahan carpet with a wonderful warm colour palate. The typical Isfahan design has a finely detailed central floral medallion set onto a madder red ground filled with beautiful floral scrolls. The carpet has multiple detailed borders of indigo coral and pink shades. This is a a excellent quality rug in super order for its age, with some areas of low pile and slight wear to the fringes as photographed.

The carpet is a useful size measuring 217 cms by 138 cms.
